The first six weeks of school we will be learning about our TOTAL HEALTH. Total health consists of three areas: Physical, Mental and Emotional, & Family and Social Health.
We will focus on our different personalites, making responsible decisions, having and keeping good character, how to deal with stress, our emotions and how we express them, managing anger and resolving conflicts, having control over our own actions, & communication and relationships. These lessons will remain top priority throughout the school year because it is our goal to take on the mold of a responsible 4th grade student, having and maintaining good character and becoming outstanding citizen in our community.
We will also be learning about the six different nutrients, the food guide pyramid, how to read food labels, and how to make appropriate food choices that benefit our overall total health.
