...to our orchard of learning.
My name is Rhonda Slate. I have been teaching in the Bangs School District for 25 years. I have taught high school, middle school and elementary music and art. I have also taught 3rd grade health and 2nd grade P.E. classes. Most of all I have enjoyed my years in the second grade classroom. That's where my heart is. They are an impressionable age and it's exciting to see how they learn and grow!
I graduated from Florence High School in Florence, Mississippi. I attended Wesley College and Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi. I received my Elementary Education degree at Howard Payne University.
My husband Vern works at Kohler in Brownwood. I have two sons. Zach is 21 years old and graduated from Bangs in May, 2006. He is attending Tarleton. Tyson is 18 and a senior at Bangs High School. I met my husband in Mississippi and he brought me to Texas. I am very proud to be a part of the Bangs school system!
We will be learning many new and exciting things in our classroom this year! My conference period is from 11:15-12:15. If you have any questions or concerns, or need to schedule a meeting, please call the office (752-7236) and leave a message or email me by clicking on the link below. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
