I graduated from Howard Payne University with a BS in Elementary Education, Kindergarten Certification, and a Minor in English. I am also ESL Certified. I did
my student teaching here at J. B. Stephens Elementary and this is my 29th year to teach here. I would not want to be at any other school! I have taught first grade, fourth grade, and this is my 19th year teaching second grade.
My husband ,RC, is a retired Texas State Trooper. We have a Country & Western Band
named "RC Willey & the SunriderS". We play all types of events including trail rides, Senior Citizens dances, private parties, reunions, and weddings.
We also enjoy singing Country
Gospel music.
We have seven Grandchildren,
(5 boys , and 2 girls) We spend our time after school hours with band and church activities and of course, enjoying our Grandkids.
*My goal as a teacher is
to make a difference in the lives of my students.
I
strive to instill in each child a love of learning and a desire to be the best that they
can be! I try to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere that will enhance
learning and provide
opportunities for each student to experience success and
learn behaviors and problem solving strategies that will enable them to become responsible citizens.
